ABOUT TRUE BALANCE
2 NEGATIVES
True Balance 2 negatives and reference prints
incorporate the newest digital technology to
help you obtain the best overall customer work
by making it easier to control slope, density
and color balance in your printer. Each system
consists of negatives and a reference print
of a scene that represents the “average”
customer photograph. No other printer control
system is as reliable, or as easy to use.
True Balance 2 is the only system that is both
digitally created and which uses a real person
for evaluating skin tones. In addition, you’ll
notice flesh patches, a gray scale, and color
patches for both primary (red, green, blue) and
secondary (cyan, magenta, yellow) colors.
The film type, exposure information, and expiration
date are displayed directly above and below
the gray circle so the information can be read
easily on test strip ring-arounds on enlargers.
Plus, it’s the only system in which the
scene is 100% neutral integrated, for more reliable
and repeatable results.
In addition to this standard True Balance 2
scene, all True Balance 2 negatives and systems
are available with an overall gray “Bullseye”
scene. The Bullseye scene is especially useful
for scanner-equipped printers but can be used
with any printer equipment. It features an overall
gray scene with a center area for densitometer
readings.
True Balance 2 negatives and reference prints
are produced with the utmost care and precision,
using the most sophisticated sensitometric equipment
available. The system is the result of years
of extensive and continuous research, making
it the most consistent balancing tool available.
In fact, True Balance 2 negatives are produced
daily, so they are always current at the time
of shipping.
